Google Pays Homage to Lebanon Independence Day

I’ve always liked Google’s creative doodles on the homepage:

– the doodle dedicated for the 2010 Olympic Games

– the doodle made for John Lennon’s birthday this year

– the apple falling from the tree (honoring Isaac Newton)

…and today Google honors the Lebanese Independence Day (November 22) by this doodle:

Lebanese Independence Day doodle

I love this one. Damn…just when I thought I couldn’t love Google more than I already do =P

Here’s how my Google homepage appeared today:

Not to burst your bubble, but Google.com as seen by the rest of the world didn’t show that doodle (I checked it from the US and from Canada). Only visitors from Lebanon saw that doodle.
