God is Gay.

Nevermind album cover - Nirvana

Nirvana’s 1991 release Nevermind, is regarded by many music lovers as one of the best albums ever released.

In the album, there’s a song called “Stay Away”, and the last words in the song are:

“Stay away
God is gay

Kurt Cobain was a great gay supporter. In school, he became friends with a gay boy, so bullies automatically assumed he was gay and started bullying him.

Another famous Cobain quote is: “I am not gay, although I wish I were, just to piss off homophobes.”

The “God is gay” lyric (which most probably pisses many religious folks off) is the band making a statement about homophobia.

Bold move Nirvana.

I love Nirvana, although I never understood the album cover of Nevermind.
