Gay Kids & Bullying

Seth Walsh. Age: 13

Seth Walsh was 13.

He was in school.

He was gay.

He was constantly bullied because he was gay.

“You should kill yourself” and “You’re gay, who cares about you?”, were one of the things his bullies told him.

He hung himself from a tree, was placed in a hospital, and died after 9 days.

Asher Brown. Age: 13

Asher Brown was 13.

He was in school.

He was gay.

He was constantly harassed because he was gay. He was verbally and physically abused.

He shot himself.

Imagine the pain those boys must have felt.

To be called that you’re ugly and worthless at a tender young age must have been devastating.

They probably saw no way out… EXCEPT committing suicide.

So sad. So fucking sad.

Those two boys were beautiful just the way they were.

I wish someone told them that.

Hope they’re finally resting in peace now.

Lance Bass was a bully in school

What makes bullies act the horrible way they do?

Maybe some of those bullies are gay and insecure, so they attack other gay kids to hide their sexuality…

Lance Bass (Nsync) recently admitted he was a bully in High School and made fun of gay kids because he gay and trying to hide it.

It’s always even more sad to put faces on names, that’s why I was avoiding to read about the five kids that killed themselves to escape this madness… The only relief I can find in this is that parents are speaking up, saying that their kids were being bullied because bullies thought they were gay, this has been happening for too long, I know it’s happening in Lebanon, you get bullied because they think your gay, because you’re poor, because they think you’re ugly, because your from a different religion, but the underlying reason is always that they know they can do it and they know you can’t do anything about it

Bullies should also be given proper attention and help.

If you’re verbally, physically, and emotionally attacking someone because they’re different from you, there’s something wrong with YOU and not the victim.

I wonder how the kids who told Seth Walsh to “kill himself” are feeling…

Kind of true , there’s a lot of bullying in lebanese schools. And teachers are not very keen on recognising cases happening inside their class.

Just hope these teachers know how to deal with those bullying cases.
