Homophobe of the week: Lebanese Government

Article 534 of the Lebanese Penal Code criminalizes “sexual acts against nature” and targets homosexuals in Lebanon.

If gays are arrested based on this law, they face up to 1 year in prison.

Even though I sure as hell don’t consider myself to be “against nature”, this law thinks I am.

Unless the Lebanese government abolishes this fucked up article, it will still be considered a homophobe.

This LAW in itself is ‘against nature’, and certainly NOT homosexuals.

It’s about time that the government erases this law from existence.

Abolish an article, it will take at least 6 government and 2 presidents to get anything abolished or passed.

They claim they are the Paris of the middle east, they are a parliamentary democratic republic, and when you come down to the country and you see how it is run, you are really schocked by their over-aged, obsolete and unapplied laws.

Such a nice country, so open to diversity … so blablabla …

Hell with that … I can’t believe that a country like Lebanon who’s major tourism attraction is the “super clubbing” can still have laws like these …

When I think about my years in Montreal Canada, we had this “gay village” a whole damn triple building plot where almost everything was running by gay people and nobody cares …

Or, well, in fact, everybody cares there, since it’s the best place to find a lot of high quality creams, cosmetics and co … they cares because the best “salons de massage” were there … and no, not adults massages, real ones, the kind of massages wich let you like a towel after that and you sleep 2 days non stop …

Oh boy … I loved the “village”, at least they always had a smile on their faces …
