Homophobe of the week: Pope. Gay Supporter of the week: Charlize Theron.

Another day, another homophobe.

Pope Benedict XVI

Here’s what Pope Benedict XVI has said about gays and gay marriage.

“One of the most insidious and dangerous challenges to society.” – Pope Benedict on gay marriage.

“Although the particular inclination of the homosexual person is not a sin, it is a more or less strong tendency ordered to an intrinsic moral evil, and thus the inclination itself must be seen as an objective disorder.”

“We must have great respect for these people who also suffer and who want to find their own way of correct living. On the other hand, to create a legal form of a kind of homosexual marriage, in reality, does not help these people.”

I don’t expect anything more from the Pope, and his quotes earn him the title “Homophobe of the week”!

On the other side of the spectrum there’s Charlize Theron who has said that she won’t get married until the gays are allowed to marry.

Charlize Theron: Gay Supporter of the Week

“I don’t want to get married because right now the institution of marriage feels very one-sided, and I want to live in a country where we all have equal rights,” Theron said.

“I have so many friends who are gays and lesbians who would so badly want to get married, that I wouldn’t be able to sleep with myself.”

Charlize’s beautiful stand for us gays easily earns her the “Gay Supporter of the Week” award!

U go gurrl!

I think happiness should not be dictated by sex, gender, race or age…if two people care for each other then thats their business. We all need somebody in this fucked up world so no matter who that is (man, woman or other) as long as each person is respected equally and loved equally thats all that counts.

It’s really very complicated in this active life to listen news on Television, so I simply use internet for that reason, and get the most up-to-date news.
